  1. Ventura Publisher 1.1 - 2.0 Driver Installation Instructions
  2. See the SpeedSTAR-24 Manual for detailed installation information.

  5. The Ventura driver files for the SpeedSTAR-24 have been copied to the 
  6. specified directory.  Follow the instructions below to load the drivers.
  7.  
  8.  
  9. [1] ... Install Ventura selecting IBM Personal System/2 (640x480) as 
  10.     the video display for version 1.1 and IBM VGA or Compatible 
  11.     (640x480) as the video display for version 2.0.
  12.  
  13. [2] ... Verify Ventura operates completely in this mode.
  14.  
  15. [3] ... Use a DOS file editor (EDLIN or EDIT for example) to browse 
  16.     the VP.BAT or VPPROF.BAT file residing in the root directory of 
  17.     the hard drive. [Please make a backup of the file before editing]
  18.  
  19. [4] ... Modify the /S= portion of the command line choosing:
  20.         /S=SD800.VGA     for 800x600
  21.         /S=SD1024.VGA    for 1024x768
  22.  
  23. [5] ... Save the modified start-up batch file back to root directory
  24.     using the same VP.BAT or VPPROF.BAT filename.
  25.  
  26. [6] ... Ventura will now boot in the selected mode.
